Does Shopify have a built-in shipping calculator?
Shopify does not give you a standalone rate calculator to test before a store is live. Instead it shows live carrier rates to customers at checkout once you enable carrier-calculated shipping (Settings → Shipping and delivery, on the Shopify plan or higher). How much does Shopify charge for shipping?
Shopify itself does not charge you for shipping - you pay the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL). With Shopify Shipping you buy discounted labels in-app at up to ~88% off retail USPS and UPS rates, and the discount tier scales with your plan. What you charge the customer is up to you: live carrier rates, a flat rate, or free shipping built into your product price.
How do I add shipping rates to my Shopify store?
Go to Settings → Shipping and delivery, open your shipping profile, and add rates to each zone. You can set flat rates, weight-based or price-based tiers, or turn on carrier-calculated rates to show live USPS, UPS, and DHL prices at checkout. What is the cheapest way to ship Shopify orders?
